This project is a homage for all the thousands of young guys who were called up to serve in the SADF, especially those who fought to secure the borders of South Africa. This website is also for those of you who may have forgotten what it was like for those of us who were there.

Although this documentary appears to cover the experiences of white soldiers only, it does not mean to disregard the fact that men and women of all races served in the SADF. The difference is that members of other races were volunteers who chose to serve. White South African men had no choice and were rigorously conscripted from the age of 16 onwards. In spite of this, it should be said that this website is dedicated to all who served!

Please also note that there is absolutly no political motivation behind this work!
